It's highly likely that anyone reading this review doesn't know me, so the value of a review written by me is nominal at best. Nevertheless, here we go.
I've been a home barista for around fifteen years, having learned from a small batch boutique roaster in Washington State. I know good espresso, and I apply my mild OCD-ness to the quest for making good espresso for myself and lattes for my wife every day
Even after moving all around the country for these fifteen years and trying many different local roasters of high regard, I keep coming back to Thundermuck as my daily bean. It's not bitter and angry like what so many other roasters produce, even once dialed in to an appropriate extraction time. It's got good depth, great crema, and is so very consistent from pull to pull and bag to bag
I may still now and then try other roasters,. It's healthy I suppose. I doubt that I will find anything that surpasses Thundermuck though, and I'm more than good with that
