Investigated

I purchased (3) 400XL-SS. Which is essentially the Model 400XL in a Stainless Steel version. This lock is manufactured with a larger opening in the back to fit rear and side enclosed trailer doors. My search for a new lock(s) for my construction trailer was spurred by adding new shelving and updating storage options. The Condensing of equipment on shelving and compartmental containers greatly raised the value of equipment being secured in the my trailer on a daily bases. My trailer is stored nightly in a secured building but when working it can be parked in retail parking lots, job sites and when out of town overnights in hotel parking lots. Shamefully, I was upgrading from a padlock. I began my search for puck locks on Amazon and located the (3) pack 400XL puck lock, Proven Industries. I completed an exhaustive search of other manufacturers on Amazon and was leaning towards just ordering the (3) pack 400 XL, Aluminum, material. I then turned my attention and focus to YouTube and began checking out manufacturers videos and what companies were saying about their products. I discovered a video which depicted an individual defeating the 400 XL aluminum puck locks in (30) seconds (video was 3yrs old). I found this very disturbing. After my deep dive into YouTube and other online reviews I submitted a email to Proven Industries Support Team, regarding my concerns with their product. I received a very detailed response from Sarah, with the Support team detailing the updates to the 400 XL aluminum puck locks. The locking mechanism was updated to a Cobra's 7 pin drill resistant cylinder enclosed in a stainless steel sleeve that was manufactured for their Aluminum pucks. Additionally, the Proven Disc detainer inside the Stainless steel models. All puck locks they currently carry have this new revision of locking systems. Sarah concluded her response with “I hope this helps with the concern”. Admittedly it steered me back to considering the 400 XL aluminum puck locks. After a few days of thought I contacted Proven Industries sales department with what would be my final few questions, prior to my decision to purchase a punk lock system. I reached Harrison in the Sales Department when calling Proven Industries. He was very knowledgeable and answered my questions. I relayed my information tree up to this point. The online ordering listed an updated in locking mechanism which I was curious about. I further asked if it was possible to order the 400XL puck locks in Stainless Steel version. I had not been able to locate this option on the online product information. When he informed me it was an available option and included an upgrade in locking mechanism I was 90% to my decision to purchase three immediately. I inquired into the cost of three 400XL in Stainless Steel. I then request the cost of the three 400XL in Aluminum. With the cost increase of roughly $175 for three I was sold to spend the additional cost to increase the security on $7500-$10,000 dollars worth of trailer content based on the given day. I purchased three 400XL in Stainless Steel. Great Company, Outstanding Products and Incredible Customer Service. Highly Recommended. It’s been (3) weeks since my locks. They are preforming as stated. I especially like the fact when I unlock the pucks I can remove the key with the lock ready to reinstall without reinserting the key. Simply place the lock back ice the locking turnbuckle and push in the locking pin. It snaps into place and locks effortlessly. Thank You,
