These shoes changed my cycling life
Yes, the waiting time is long. I waited several months myself and, like many others, I was checking my emails regularly and hoping for updates. But people should understand that Hezo is still a small company run by just two people, and every pair is made individually. This is not a mass-produced product coming from a large factory. For me, the wait was absolutely worth it. I wear size 50 cycling shoes (about 33 cm) and I am after hallux surgery on both feet. Anyone with feet this large and wide will understand how difficult it is to find cycling shoes that actually fit. Most cyclists can simply choose from dozens of models. People like me often spend years looking for something that doesn't cause pain. Over the years I tried different solutions. I started with Shimano shoes and later invested in custom-made Bont shoes. To be fair, those Bonts were also a high-quality product – full carbon, leather upper and built specifically for my feet at that time. They also cost several times more than my Hezos. Then I underwent hallux surgery on both feet and everything changed. The shape of my feet changed so much that I could no longer use my Bonts at all. I knew I didn't want to go back to standard production shoes and, after my experience, I also didn't want to invest in another pair of Bonts. That's when I decided to try Hezo. I attached a photo showing my cycling shoe journey: Shimano, Bont Custom and Hezo. The Bonts were made before my surgeries, while the Hezos were made afterwards. The Shimano shoes in the photo were actually Shimano Extra Wide models. Looking at them next to the Hezos, the difference is remarkable. Anyone with genuinely wide feet will probably understand this immediately. What many brands call "wide" or even "extra wide" is often still not wide enough for people like us. I don't really care if a 3D-printed shoe has a tiny cosmetic imperfection somewhere. That's not why I bought them. I bought them because I needed a shoe that actually fits my feet. And Hezo delivered exactly that. When I compare them to some "extra wide" shoes from major brands that cost similar money, buying a fully custom-made shoe simply makes more sense to me. For the first time in years, I can focus on cycling instead of foot pain. I will definitely order another pair in the future because after years of searching, I finally found something that works. Thank you, Helen and the entire Hezo team, for helping me enjoy cycling again. 🚴♂️

Klare Kaufempfehlung
