When they work, they are great at drawing a fine line. I know now that the ink isn't supposed to flow around the outside of the tip. The problem is that the tip is easily clogged when left to sit, and using them as intended takes some patience. The technique is different than the bold or fine tip markers that require depressing the tip a few times to get the paint flowing. I keep a few extra tips on hand to change out when the tips are fussy.

I think the pens are great when they work properly, however they often don’t work properly. The tips dry way too fast and often after just one use. The cartridge leaks often.

I must have the oil base paint. I work in water so once the lacquer has dried it stays. I will continue to purchase Decocolor extra fine pens. Bill
