I purchased the Shopify Developer course to take my knowledge to an advanced level. In my opinion, it’s the best Shopify theme developer course currently available because it doesn’t just offer superficial tutorials—it deeply integrates modern web development with the Shopify platform. I particularly like the combination of theoretical sections and video tutorials. You don’t just learn to type out code; the theory also helps you understand the architecture behind Shopify themes. The course is ideal for beginners with some initial experience, as it starts with “Liquid Basics” and “Theme Fundamentals.” For me, the approach became particularly valuable starting with the “Functionality & APIs” module, which provides in-depth insights into the Shopify AJAX API, the Section Rendering API, the Cart API, and the Predictive Search API. The technical implementation in JavaScript is outstanding. Instead of outdated scripts, you learn to work with modern code such as Custom HTML Elements and Custom DOM Events to implement complex logic like Cart Price Calculations, Variant Pickers, or dynamic Collection Filters in a clean and modular way. Of course, AI is a must. The “Workflow & AI” module teaches you how to set up your environment using the code editor, the Shopify CLI, and version control via Git. The integration of AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and the Shopify AI Toolkit demonstrates how to accelerate your own development speed. I highly recommend the newsletters, which are packed with practical tips from the real-world developer’s daily routine, as well as the Discord channel for professional discussion.
