It was great. Fascinating looking at the salt pans and feeling the big ole' shovels. I would have liked a paragraph or maybe 2 on the history of salt - maybe salt making in the UK, the earliest evidence of it being harvested from tge sea, its value as a preservative before refrigeration... but most importantly, how did the ancients process the seawater to get it. Put Halen Môn in to a historical context, y'know?

A short but comprehensive tour of the desalination process unique to Halen Mon, producing the most natural, flavour enhancing salt and salt products. Really liked the salt tasting and the difference between commercially produced salt and Halen Mons unique pure flaky salt. A real eye opener to the industry. Informative tour guide, ask questions.

Het bestellen van tickets voor het bezoek verliep erg vlot. De rondleiding was kort, interessant maar bleef soms wat oppervlakkig. De proeverij was fijn, maar ook hier kon er soms wat meer diepgang zijn, soms voelde het wat te commercieel. De winkel die je voor en na de rondleiding kan bezoeken is erg mooi en heeft een vrij groot assortiment.
