What was I thinking?
Excellent. Board handles as advertised. I'm 67 and have been resisting buying a longer board. Ego, I guess, though it's not as if I've been slashing/burning waves for the last couple of years. The Egg picks up waves incredibly well, rides and turns easily (3'-5' so far). I'm thrilled... Will only add that there was some discoloration (epoxy?) toward the nose. The shop insisted it was due to shipping and could be cleaned off. Not so. It's under the glass. Anyway, I can live with it. Great board and excellent, responsive shop.

magic board
I have 8 surfboards and this is truly a magic board. It's got volume but I can still duck dive it. It paddles fast, catches waves like a longboard. It has some rocker and can do steeper drops and late drops no problem. It turns easily, obviously not like a 6' board but it feels shorter than it is once you are up to speed. The glass job is excellent, it's both durable and light. It truly shines in head high waves or above with good conditions, and gets into those waves early with a couple easy paddle strokes. Does fine on 2-4 ft chop as well if it's your only board, tho I'd typically reach for my groveler or fish in those conditions. In most good winter conditions (San Diego) this has become my go-to board.

First board
This is the first board I’ve gotten since learning on a soft top longer board. I have used it once so far and can’t wait to go back out and keep progressing.
