This blissful basil is packaged in metal tins by the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Community in New Gloucester, Maine. They first began selling herbs in 1799. This is a sweet, aromatic herb with a subtle licorice flavor that's great in tomato dishes (both cooked and freshly sliced tomatoes), as well as on eggplant, green beans, & zucchini. E
