Just what I've been looking for

I've been looking for a good noiseless single coil to put in my HSS strat for ages now and I've always been hesitant since most of the noiseless singles I've tried all had this, un-single coil quality to them. I started heard about the Tonerider Apexes and figured I'd give them a try. They're exactly what I was hoping for. Tonally, they're even an improvement over the stock single coils in the strat. The Plus is a little beefier but still has plenty of chime. Perfect balance with my SD 59/Custom Hybrid in the bridge!

My previous experience with noiseless single coils has been mixed. I've tried 4 major brands without getting pickups I liked. None of them seemed to capture the chime of a real single coil, especially if you're looking for a hotter pickup. These are hands down the best I've tried. For me the search for a noiseless single coil is over.
