From Old to NEW!
I purchased the MX239 because there are very few cycling shoes in my size -52 for wide feet. Cost was also a factor. I did not want to spend this kind of money but since I like bicycling and my 15 year old Lake shoes are pretty well worn out I just needed to get new shoes. Well, what a fit! I am impressed at how comfortable they are and the new age lacing process - I hope it outlasts straps. They will need sometime to break in. I don't use cleats so I had to order "fillers" to take the place of cleats. So far so good - lets see how they break in.

Buyer beware, good shoe with a major flaw
I want to like these shoes, as I have a wide toe box and a high volume foot. Out of the box, they were extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, the end of the tongue cuts into my ankle to the point of being very painful and leaving a mark, especially when I bend my ankle. This did not become apparent until I put cleats on them and wore them on the bike for a ride. I now can not return them, and I was only offered a discount on a different model. So I am out close to $400 and the solution would be to spend even more money on a shoe that could end up doing the same thing. I would caution to find a shop to try them on first before purchase. If that can not be done, I would not purchase these shoes.

MTB MX239 Wide 43
Comfortable shoes, slightly on the heavy side at 830gr size 43 compared to my old Spesh Sworks.
