I'm sad these didn't work out for me.

These are great shoes but unfortunately they dug into the top inside of my foot right where the Boa cable goes through the eyehook, so even the figure-8 "hack" won't work for me. Sad because I have heard such great things about Lake Shoes!

From Old to NEW!

I purchased the MX239 because there are very few cycling shoes in my size -52 for wide feet. Cost was also a factor. I did not want to spend this kind of money but since I like bicycling and my 15 year old Lake shoes are pretty well worn out I just needed to get new shoes. Well, what a fit! I am impressed at how comfortable they are and the new age lacing process - I hope it outlasts straps. They will need sometime to break in. I don't use cleats so I had to order "fillers" to take the place of cleats. So far so good - lets see how they break in.
