My God, I’m so happy!
Having wide feet and riding endurance has been a challenge almost exclusively because of the narrow footbeds that are native to so many cycling shoes.
I spent several months in PT working through issues from improper fits in both running and cycling shoes. During that time, several people recommended Lake Cycling to me. I am THRILLED with my CX239 wides. Two hours, four hours, or six hours into a ride I can trust that I won’t have hot spots or numb toes. I also appreciate the fore/aft adjustments for cleats to help dial in a precise fit.
These shoes are well worth the investment!

Great for wide feet without losing the performance
I have a 43 EE (double E) size foot, so finding a quality road shoes that fits and comfortable for hours on end, in the sadde, is a challenge. The toe box in the CX239 Wide version is roomey and comfortable. The existing CX239 insole isn't anything special so I added a Superfeet, medium arch insole to help. I didn't have a hotspot issue after a 5 hours ride, like I've had in the past. Hope this helps!

Perfect midfoot width, too wide heel
My foot didn't go numb on a long ride for the first time in years! Yay for a wide toebox. Downside - my narrow heel is not well fit for the shoe so I've lost power.
