The unit produces quite a bit of heat. The manufacturer recommends placing the lighting surface as close as possible to the skin, but I find that that causes quite a bit of heating of the skin. I though red light was not supposed to heat up. Not sure what the proper distance is for maximum effectiveness, since the main photo of the Celluma PRO PLUS shows the surface a couple of inches away from the skin.

It's a nice light, but over priced.
It's a nice light, but compared to another less expensive light the results for face glow is the same.
