There are fewer and fewer brands of Herring(s) available in the US. That is most likely due to next to no immigration from the Scandinavian countries. I like the ABBA brand because they are available In smaller jars, as I am the only one in my family who likes herring, I can finish a jar in a couple of days - then I don’t get tired of it. In Scandinavia the saying goes, “when we were poor we eat herring to survive, now we are rich we eat herring because we like it.” The herring in brændevin (Akvavit) were a first for me, I found it interesting, my favorite is still the original. A familiar brand of herring, and it was still cool when it arrived, so all good there. Strangely, we received only two of the three jars of herring we ordered, and a wedge of cheese in place of the third jar. Someone who ordered cheese must have gotten an unpleasant surprise!

Much better than any I have had...more like what we got years ago in the Swedish market. If shipping weren't so expensive, I would buy several mire jars.
