Labour scent
Immediately it smells like varnish and woods, like you sprayed something you shouldn’t spray on your skin that is corrosive, but assuredly it’s not. Nostalgic memories of arts, crafts, oil painting, and cut wood impacts you. The scent is abrasive, but softened somehow. It mellows into a log cabin, wood shipyard. The wood is earthy with a slight dirt smell to it, which may be the moss and resin. I don’t know where the “outdoors accord” enters in, but it may be that you are painting a wood ship outside? I feel like I’m addictively sniffing paint, but it’s not stigmatizing because the chemical smell breaks down into mossy-blackdirt-wood. It would be great to smell like this as an architect, painter, craftsman, artisan or gardener. At times it could be like paint, wood, or clay. The drydown is just the spiced resin and the overall scent vanishes in 3 to 4 hours.

Interesting beginning (in a good way)
Bowmakers does smell like varnish upon initial application, which I find interesting and surprisingly pleasant. It fades into something nice and woody, but the varnish note sticks around just enough to keep it interesting.

Smells more like patchouli than the wood notes to me.
