The quality of these lures is second to none. Calling them “well made” would be like calling the Great Barrier Reef “a decent bit of coral”. The sheer, borderline unhinged level of creativity required to dream these things up is something to behold. Somewhere, a bloke has clearly stared into the abyss of lure design, had a yarn with Poseidon himself and emerged holding a masterpiece. Every contour, every colour, every shimmer and wobble looks as though it was engineered to trigger an instinct older than civilisation itself. If these lures don’t tempt a fish, chances are the fish has already been caught. I’ve seen plenty of lures over the years, but these aren’t just bits of plastic with hooks attached, they’re aquatic works of art with a criminal intent toward barramundi, trout, jacks and anything else unfortunate enough to cross their path. You almost feel guilty throwing one in the water… almost. Then the reel starts screaming and any remaining guilt disappears faster than a cold beer at a summer barbecue Get ‘em into ya.
