Greenbelly Meals

fantastic

I got these to use as snacks during/after longish day hikes and now, I'm afraid that I am hooked on them. They are so moist, delicious, and not overly sweet. Since I am allergic to dairy, my choices are limited but the ones I can eat are fantastic. I'll be trying the protein bars next.

Skeptical? I was as well, but not anymore.

I am now a believer in Greenbelly meals! I ordered 3 different flavors to see which was the best, well 1 flavor was the protein bar. Packaging was great and easy to open, which is a concern for my winter hikes/snowshoe trips. None of the 3 were super sweet, which is great, I don't want to feel like I'm having a sugar rush when eating. Overall, these are great! Mango Cashew Coconut- my favorite of the 3. Just enough flavor to notice, texture was perfect, not too sweet and very filling without making me feel bloated. I will be ordering these again. Peanut Apricot- My wife absolutely loved these! She loved the very noticeable peanut flavor with the hint of apricot. Zero texture problems, no "filmy" after feeling in your mouth. She has decided these will be her "go to" bars for long hikes. Chocolate crunch- For a protein bar, these are okay. I liked the light chocolate flavor (I'm not a chocolate fan), perfect sweetness and texture. I do like the protein content in these and they may get used as post workout bars. The only downside I can see with these is they are only offered in chocolate. I'll be placing another order in a month for my fall/winter plans, and can't wait to try other flavors.

Great calorie dense meal

I have used Greenbelly meals on several month long kayak trips where minimizing bulk is critical. Greenbelly meals are a great alternative to oatmeal for breakfast as they are calorie dense and compact. They also taste great. My only complaint is that there is a lot of packaging around each bar. Overall I love them!
