QD7 Quick Release Plate

Really solid bit of kit, well machined and finished, neat little bit of engineering that I would trust with my camera over the plastic ones you normally get with a tripod.

Great for mounting on long zooms feet. Depending on the length you can mount it front or back to balance the weight and know that it is secure.

This QD7 plate is extremely well designed and mounted permanently now on my OM-1 battery grip. Unlike other plates I find that this one does not slip and rotate out of position. The only improvement that might be considered is to put a plastic allen set screw (so as to prevent any possible rotation and plastic non marking). I primarily chose this initially for the QD connections and happy to see there are 2 QD connections on the plate.
