Basically Tam Dao
EDIT: Came back to update my review because I heard the formula changed and I had to order a sample to check it out. I gotta say it’s definitely got that extra organic sandalwood punch that seemed the slightest bit absent from the earlier formula. I’m picking up a little bit of Australian sandalwood in there now too (Tam Dao basically being a pure Indian sandalwood) but it’s very slight and is not extreme enough to throw off the faithfulness to that signature Tam Dao smell, and tbh I actually think it’s a nice touch on top to have the best of both sandalwoods in there. Damn this stuff is good!! I would definitely say go ahead and pick some of this up if you’re a fan of Tam Dao or pure sandalwood incense smells - you won’t be disappointed. Will be ordering again.
This stuff is pretty dang good. Tam Dao has been one of my go-to favorites because essentially it’s an almost pure sandalwood or at least sandalwood-primary sent. If you spray these side-by-side the original definitely has more of an almost cold and sharp hit of the sandalwood, whereas the seclusion is the slightest bit more muted and warmer… but the difference is so slight it’s barely worth mentioning. Overall a solid stand in for Tam Dao as the price went way up to 200 dollars….. I’ll go for this instead.
