My wife has told me she's wanted to learn the cello for quite a while, so for our 10 yr anniversary I purchased her one and she couldn't have been happier. With instruments we've had in the past, I knew cheap was not the way to go so I did some looking and came across StringWorks. Based on previous reviews I made the purchase and I'm glad I did. Instrument looks fantastic, sounds great, holds a tune really well (in fact the instrument arrived still in tune with itself), and fits her perfectly. Also I'm super pleased with my purchase experience with StringWorks - timely responses to my questions, updates on time of shipment, etc. ... all around a great business to work with. Thanks guys!!

Probably user error

It's my first bow so I could be way off base here. There seem to be "dead spots" in the bow where the tone gets real scratchy. Sometimes rosin helps, sometimes it makes it worse. Otherwise it feel good, sounds good, and plays well.
