Maestro
I am an adult amateur who lives in the north of Norway. They don´t sell celli here. I would have had to fly to Oslo to try different ones, and then fly it home. I started researching different options on line and found Stringworks. It appealed to me and I talked to Evan on the phone to discuss options, and how to get it transported to above the arctic circle. I decided on the Maestro, and eagerly awaited while they set it up for me. Evan said he wanted it to be easy to play, as I have only played for two years. When it arrived the whole family was beyond excited. My Maestro is so so beautiful. The brown color and the pattern in the wood on the back is exquisite. It is far easier to play than the one I had borrowed, and it has a deep and resonant sound. My Russian teacher loves it too. She says it is a very good instrument for the price, and to hear her play it really makes me appreciate how wonderful it truly is. She was so happy for me that ordering a cello online turned out so well, and I am so grateful for the new companion that I have got in the Maesto. Evan made the whole thing feel safe. Thank you!

I love my Maestro Cello!
I am an adult beginner just started to learn cello ~6 months ago. I purchased a Maestro cell a few weeks ago from Stringworks and cannot be happier! My Maestro cello sounds very smooth, beautiful and surprisingly loud, way better than the cello I rented before. Once I got my new cello my practicing time increased significantly. Thanks Evan and Todd for finding me such a great cello! :)

A year in, I love my Maestro Cello!
From initial contact with Stringworks in May 2018, to receiving my cello delivered to a local FedEx store in California, the whole process of picking and obtaining my Maestro cello was wonderful and smooth. I went with the Maestro upon recommendation from Evan at the shop -I live in small apartment so I wanted a cello that wouldn't be *too* loud, like the Soloist might be. (I won't be soloing on stage anytime soon. :) ) Though I was new to cello, I had played violin before and I knew I wanted a cello that would age well with me as I poured my 40-something self into study of every cello-style i could learn (including chamber, Scottish, Irish, and bluegrass!!). My Maestro cello is beautiful, the sound is lovely and I think it is getting richer! My teacher is happy with it too. My playing it in did wake up wolf note on the E, but that was easily handled with a Krentz modulator (magnetic wolf eliminator.) If I ever do "trade-up" I'd be happy to do it via Stringworks. I am very satisfied with the purchase and their continuing support to all my questions since that time. The Kraush bow they picked for me went perfectly with it. (I did also purchase to a Codabow Luma locally here for my outdoor playing and fiddle camp attendance.) Thank you, Todd, Evan, and everyone at Stringworks! Very happy customer.
