Constructeur Rear Rack

Beautiful! Sturdy!

Very classic constructeur rack and well built! Works well with my set of small panniers and plan to also use it with a saddle/rack bag. Note that unless you plan to attach to a rear fender, you’ll need a rack strut to attach to a seat stay bridge.

Well made and sleek

This rack's platform is considerably smaller than a more standard design. My old Banjo Bros grocery panniers completely swallow it, and yet with a couple small tweaks to the straps it works fine. I might make smaller custom bags for it. It is perfect for occasional light loads, is unobtrusive the rest of the time, and fits the look of my bike (a Rivendell Appaloosa, 62cm frame with 44mm tires and VO aluminum fenders).
