Pleasantly Surprised
I had started with the HyperMount Gen 2 maybe a month ago and only had it for a few weeks. Not only was I disappointed in the general build quality (cheap materials, flimsy construction), but upon first removal, the suction plate itself cracked. This rendered the mount entirely unusable after just a few weeks of ownership.
I reached out to Statik support who were kind enough to send me a replacement. Not just any replacement, however - this was to be the Gen 3 model. My expectations weren't very high given my experience with the Gen 2, but I'm here to say that this newer model blew those expectations out of the water and then some. The Gen 3 feels like it's made by an entirely different company, in the best way possible. The materials are of much higher quality, the suction is stronger (and more versatile), and the articulating arm is SOLID. My phone doesn't budge in the slightest when mounted. I have to say that I'm very impressed with the R&D invested in the third iteration, and I give kudos to Statik for actually investing in their product rather than hoarding profits from the previous generations. Well done.

Super helpful especially being in college. With my bed up higher it allows me to keep my phone near me without any fear of it falling or waking up and wondering where my phone is. I also love it to set up and watch videos like youtube on it. My only downside is i wish it was a little easier to get off walls. I get the whole point is to be sticky but i have a decently hard time getting it off of surfaces. The tab on the side does help but not a lot. To me just a bigger tab might even help a good bit. Would 100% recommend though for sure!!!!
