I recently bought two for our upcoming Japan trip, so haven't tried them on the plane yet, but I did have a surgery where I have to sleep upright for a few weeks and I use it every night and works great.

Much better than a neck pillow!

Happy to have purchased for my flight to Paris. Far less bulky than the typical neck pillow. Very adjustable for position and tightness. Added bonus- you can pull up the turtle neck to cover your face and eyes.
