Excellent start to this new series
I adore Felicity’s books and was eagerly awaiting the release of this new series. As ever Ms Heaton did not disappoint.
Saphira was very much a sheltered young woman. We see this in how she reacted to her ‘mate’ and his actions on their mating day and through a lot of her continued thoughts about him at the beginning of the book. I did like her growth as the story progressed and that she began to grow into her own skin, becoming the strong wolf she had been held back from being while with her pack in Canada.
Kaeleron was intruiging from the start. His reason for buying Saphi, his seer and her background, his own history as it started to unfold had me interested but it was his development and growth that really snared me. Who’s have thought an Unseelie king could be so thoughtful and patient….
Felicity’s story arcs are excellent and there were so many characters, creatures and elements in this first book that I cannot wait to find out about as the story progresses. The images I had of the Shadow Court were front and centre as I read Saphi and Kael’s tale as Felicity paints such a vivid picture with her writing.
The banter, adventure, betrayal and mystery all added to my overall enjoyment and that ending left me with SO MANY questions and thoughts I cannot wait for Wolf Hunted!!!!
