I just returned from a week-long fishing and hiking trip in southern and central Colorado. I own a 2026 4Runner and sleeping every night on the Hide3Away Sleeping Platform V2 Solo 24 with an Exped sleeping pad was extremely comfortable. I was able to use your prior suggestion of not using legs on the front-facing part of the bed and just rested the extended poles on the connectors against the raised, folded down rear seats that the new 4Runners have, with the extended poles laying against the seatback. It worked perfectly! I packed a number of necessities (kitchen, personal items, first aid, recovery, etc.) in bins that fit nicely under the HideAway. Also had an electric cooler and solar panels that fit well with the HideAway within the back of the cargo area. An excellent investment for my camping needs.
