Qishr (coffee cherry tea)

Unique taste!

Qishr is the perfect drink when you’ve had your morning coffee, mid-day black or green tea and now you’re settling down for the evening sitting on the back deck watching the sun set and want a cup that won’t keep you up all night. Great straight, but even better when served as suggested following the recipes adding a bit of sweetness and spice. I have yet to try it iced, but look forward to doing so.

Sweet, fruity, and soothing.

I sampled the haraaz mountains qishr. It’s an example of what sets Yemeni coffee apart. The qishr has strong ripe fruit notes with undertones of leather. Great on its own or with milk and honey.
