I was amazed at how great I felt and how easy this program is. I have tried to go completely Vegan before (I have dairy and gluten sensitivities) and I have been unsuccessful both times. In my case I realized that when changing the way I eating, it took a lot of time and thought as to what I could make (I work 50-60 hours a week), and this makes it difficult when it has been protein, 2 sides for so much of my life. This is definitely the faster way to decide what to prepare for meals. The step by step recipes and timeline to get ready for the next 1-3 days was exceptional.
I felt so incredible, never really hungry and loads of energy. I was working physically during this time, something that I don't do all the time, with NO pain or stiffness the next day. This was almost unbelievable (I am 68). The other wonderful side effect was no salt or sugar cravings very quickly.
I indeed dropped about 5-7 pounds during the 26 day program which I didn't really have the pounds to lose. I would like to put those back on, and so far, has not happened (the reset worked well :)). I had a colleague ask if I felt ok when I was mentioning that I would like to put some weight back on and he said, do you feel ok? and I said wonderful...his response, "then what is the problem"?
After and during this program I am amazed (even though I did not ever eat "the standard American diet" of garbage, soda etc.) at how I notice even more than before how many problems people have that I am sure could be helped by changing their diets (and of course other things).
