Forged Base Socks

Solid.

I spend all day everyday in the mountains for work, and these socks are hands down the best I’ve worn. Zero bunching, slipping or hot spots. Do yourself a favor and grab a pair.

Performs well, different than wool socks

Only taken these socks on one overnight backpack, used one pair on the way in, 2nd on the way out - 6+ mi 3000 ft elevation on really rough/mixed terrain with some moisture on the trail and vegetation. Used with trail runners. Overall these socks were very comfortable, and performed well - I did notice that they seemed to evacuate moisture relatively quickly. One thing I would note - they are thinner than typical wool socks, and the material is a little slicker, so my feet were a little looser and slid around in my shoes more than I was used to, so I had to tighten my shoe laces more than usual to lock my feet more in place in the shoe. Not necessarily a problem, but just something to be aware of - you might experience a looser fit in your shoe/boot with these thinner/slicker socks. On the whole - I'm not tossing all my wool socks, but I'll definitely keep using these and trying them out in different field conditions. (I also agree with previous reviewer about the metal clasp on the toe from the packaging - remove carefully!)

Great...so far

I bought 2 pair of the socks to try them out. So far I have wore them at work and working at my farm with my work boots. They have been great. Super comfortable. Still need to put on the pack and hunting boots and do some rucking to see how they perform, but so far I really like them.
