Every Math Class and Home Should Have This

I was a tad skeptical of the game but I'm a firm believer in play based learning at this age so I went ahead and purchased Tiny Polka Dot thinking making math fun and based on playing a game would be helpful. Helpful is too mild a word. I have watched my sons math abilities bloom and flourish due to the games in this little square box. These games have been critical in helping my son learn to subitize numbers (being able to recognize the quantity of a group without having to count) up to 10. It has really given my son foundational number sense, teaching him that a number actually *means* something and is not just a figure like a sight word to be memorized without knowing the meaning behind it. It has also helped with his addition fluency to 5 and 10. There are several games in this box of varying difficulties and age appropriateness. The whole family could get in on these games if you have kids of multiple ages, preschool to first or second grade. I really believe more kids would be better at and understand math better if they had access to this game. Thank you Timberdoodle for introducing Tiny Polka Dot to our home.

Fun game

This is a fun game that grows with the child. Easy way to reinforce math concepts. Lots of options for games, as the child progresses in math skills. Love that this was part of a kit.

Wonderful range of games and challenges. My pre-K child is totally happy playing the easier games, and they’re helping her with quick number recognition. And my second grader who isn’t super strong in math is gaining from the more challenging game options.
