There are just right, and just lovely. I needed sunglasses that I could use to read but that wouldn't be an issue for distance if I wore them out walking the dog or socialising. Not only are these exactly right for viewing but they cut glare and they FIT, instead of slipping down my nose, which happens when I buy magnifying shades from a supermarket (and those are more expensive). It was a risk to get the sizing right (do I have a particularly small head or what?) but it worked. Very happy
