I also have the more condensed and less expensive version of this book. But this book allows you to understand the "why", not just a memorization. Prior to this book, I signed up for a Jazz band ensamble and was completely lost. And nary a guitar player would help with the chords. Im a guitar player and knew lots of chords, but not Jazz chords. After delving into this book, I can play almost any song now, impromptu, with shell voicings, and im holding my own. I refer all inquiries of this knew knowledge to your YouTube channel, books. I did watch the shell voicing video alot of time to really understand.. its some work, but its pretty easy once you understand and practice. Took my playing in an entirely new direction. Well worth the $$$ You'd spend hours and lots more $$ getting this info from an in person guitar teacher...if they even know it.
