Absolute masterpiece. Completely fantastic. A haunting portrayal of a largely unexplored perspective from the Second World War, one that brings its own unique horrors. Complex and emotionally moving, thought provoking and riveting. Masterfully told. Garth Ennis is once again proven to be brilliant. Steve Epting brings the story to life and makes the characters a part of your heart, ensuring that you feel everything in the tapestry Ennis has woven for us. Jordie Bellaire gives the entire thing a framework and takes us on a roller coaster of mood, mingling beauty and horror seamlessly. Rob Steen is a champion among the unsung heroes of brilliant lettering; a field whose effect is felt on every page, but is so often overlooked because many do not realize just how much impact great lettering has on the reading experience. Cannot recommend enough.

This one is fantastic. Maybe not quite as good as Sara, but still a great companion piece. Shipping took a little while, but was well worth it.

Garth Ennis at his best with this gritty tale of the Eastern Front in WW2, his trademark irony and sound historical research on full display. Great art from Steve Epting makes the script shine.
