objectively beautiful but doesn't quite work for me
This is not brown, it's brick red. Also, unlike the other four in this "series," somehow this colour doesn't quite work conceptually quite as well with the big round glitters. They remind me of the full moon, or dewdrops, or bubbles, so brick red makes for an odd fit, cuz it's not like the ocean or a dewy field or a night sky. And as the one warm-toned colour of the five, it deviates from the overall vibe. There's nothing actually wrong with any of this, it's still a gorgeous and high-quality polish, but it's my least fave of the five! Kinda hoping E de M makes a grey or black version of this formula to complete the cool-toned package! As the copy notes, the big glitters do require glitter placement, but it's worth it, and they're not hard to scoop off the brush with the end of a metal nail file or a nail tool. And yes definitely two coats of topcoat, the glitters lie flat so against a curved nail they would otherwise stick out. I skittled this with the four other polishes in the same formula (Mystic Forces/blue, Eternal Forces/purple, Oceanic Forces/teal, and Forces of Nature/green) and it turned out stunning.

Gorgeous polish. Chunky so requires a thick top coat. I was hoping for a cool espresso brown base, this applies a little more red than i expected. Still wearable.

I find it very red rather than a true brown
In order to achieve the color shown in the photos I had to use 4 coats, otherwise this was maroon, not brown. When you finally build it enough to get to the deep, rich brown, it is lovely. I’d like to add that EDM staff were wonderful when I wrote to ask about this issue.
