Nice to have a pull to help with opening and closing the tailgate gently and quietly when getting in and out of the truck while camping. We did have to reinforce it with a flat metal washer since the knot pulled through the fabric hole where it attaches to the tailgate though.

The overall strap design is smart however during our first use pulling up the tailgate with the strap the knot that “fastens” the strap to the fabric section that secures to the tailgate bolt slipped through the holes in the this folded over fabric piece. This fabric piece used to catch this knot has too much flex and give…so the retention knot slipped through. I added a washer on the back side to make the system better. Now the strap works.
