Finally, a Furniture Company We Can Trust
When we decided we wanted to purchase our first brand-new couch as a newly married couple (all of our previous couches had been hand-me-downs or Facebook Marketplace finds), we were desperate to find someplace local where we could actually see and test the couches in person. That’s surprisingly hard to come by these days with so many online-only, influencer-driven furniture companies—many of which are difficult to trust.
I stumbled upon Modulove Furniture (formerly Comfy Living Chicago) through an Instagram ad (my algorithm clearly knew I was on the hunt!). My husband and I were so excited to see videos of the couches in-store at a showroom nearby. It was also great learning the story behind how Modulove came to fruition—we love supporting local, family-owned businesses.
We had a great experience at the store and probably spent WAY too much time trying out every single couch. Andis offered us sparkling water and even set up a couch that wasn’t quite ready to be displayed yet just so we could test it out. Once we chose “the one,” checkout was easy, and we were given an estimated delivery time frame.
Our couch arrived in just over three weeks (24 days), which was amazing compared to the estimates we received from other companies. Delivery scheduling and installation with Edgars was seamless. They removed our old couch for free and even gave my mom some boxes for her upcoming move since she happened to be there on delivery day!
We have three cats, one dog (who is no longer allowed on the couch!), and a baby on the way, so this couch is getting a lot of real-life use. We’ve had it for about a month and a half now and can confidently say it’s become our favorite hangout spot. So far, we haven’t experienced any wear, stains, cushion drifting, or other issues.
That said, the only downside to this particular Oslo model is that while the back cushions and pillows have removable zippered covers, the filling inside is loose rather than contained in separate inserts. They’re very comfortable, but realistically, it would be difficult to remove and restuff the filling every time the covers need washing. Thankfully, the bottom cushions are structured differently and have removable covers that can actually be washed without dealing with loose stuffing, which I’m sure will come in handy once our little one arrives!
Overall, we absolutely love our new couch and truly couldn’t recommend Modulove Furniture more highly.
