Latch 5 Series

I've been using the ULTRALOQ Latch 5 Series, and it's been an excellent upgrade for my home. The installation was straightforward, and the lock feels solid and well-built. I really like the convenience of keyless entry. I am kind of an expert at stalling your locks this is the 4th lock I have purchased from ultraloq. These are good locks however I had ultraloq UL3 on my garage door an after about 3 years or so it just stop working the lack mechanism would no longer retract. You can hear the motor engage but it would not pull or open. (Bought new batteries but did no help)

These are a great concept but we have had reliability problems. We bought this Latch 5 NFC to replace exactly the same lock that failed within a couple of weeks. We tried adjusting the position, but it seized up some times and was not reliable. Two other Latch 5 NFC have been reliable. I hope this one works well for years, but I have lost some confidence in the brand. We have also installed a few Bolt locks and one of them failed within a month, another is now acting peculiarly after a year.
