Bolt Fingerprint

This lock was easy to install and worked great once I got it in right. I originally put it in backwords. Switched it around and it worked great after that. It goes all the way in with no issues. Setting it up was pretty easy as well.

Not significantly better than my previous fingerprint model and that added connectivity options are ok but not really anything that was important to me. I'd hoped to eliminate the need for the bridge device but apparently it is still needed for remote access. I do like the easily visible key area vs having to tell others how to access the key area. Not sure why the battery now requires 8 vs 4, long term the impact on the environment isn't great. All that said, I like the lock. It does what is intended.

These new Ultraloq Bolts are definitely an upgrade from the first generation of Ultraloq. I found them easy to install, which may also be because i already installed the originals, and these aren't that different. My only gripe is that if you leave the door open with the deadbolt too close to the magnetic sensor, the bolt will close. That behavior didn't happen with the first generation of locks. The fingerprint sensor is much improved, but if you've come back from exercise with sweat on your hands, the sensor will not work at all. You'll need to punch in your code to open the door. On balance, these are definitely an upgrade from the original deadbolts, but still not perfect.
