Kind of a lateral upgrade of sorts. I do ultimately love the device- but as an owner of the rmx1000- myself and others would like to have an rmx 1000 mk2.
Could of done without the "drive" fx as It was something not used on rmx 1000 and wont use it on ignite. A roll or trans fx would of def been preferred.
Ignite is missing-ability to (roll") the input signal and can only roll samples isnt good.- Hopefully this can be fixed with firmware update.
No noise on the ignite- so if you are like me and use the DJM v10- the 1000 was the only way to use a noise fx-so needless to say I have my rmx 1000 daisy chained with the Ignite. Together they are great. THe software is a very nice upgrade/update to the rmx 1000 software with one exception- VST ability.
Best feature on ignite has to be color fx for sampler- this is a game changer.
Using this is great with the rmx 1000, but I dont see artist riders changing anytime soon for the most part because of this device.

Amazing but left a lot of people out
I have an xdj-az and would run the rmx 1000 on that in a loop basically, knowing this wasn’t the way but accepted it given the age gap between the two controllers. Now they release the ignite so I gambled and bought it DAY 1! Very disappointed to know I must run my az out to the rmx in and rmx out to speakers! A lot of limitations with this set up. AT could have made the usb port a I/o port on the az like it is on the club gear. Leaving a lot of people out with this choice. And it seems like an obvious move to force people to buy cdjs and djms or just not get to enjoy the new rmx as intended. Odd choices in this competitive dj equipment world, where the competition is on your tail or surpassed you depending on opinions.

Excellent product
The RMX-Ignite is the upgrade from the old RMX-1000. It’s super fun and easy to use. I wonder if all the festivals will switch over to this version
