Really well built tank!

It's nice when you buy an aftermarket part and it surpasses your expectations. First off, great price for a raw tank from Drag Specialties at $200, thx TC Bros for the great price and fast delivery. I had ordered and began fitting a diff Sportster tank from another aftermarket brand. It was not going well. The metal seemed thin, the raw tank showed up with all kinds of rough grind marks on the welds and scratches on the tank surfaces & the small fuel pump bungs were the wrong thread for OEM mounting screws.Thankfully I hadn't modified (cut or grinded anything yet) and decided to send it back for a refund. Back to the drawing board. I really wanted a 3.3 Sporty tank and didn't want to have to buy a used OEM from eBay so I kept searching. Found this one. It is really solid heavy steal, the OEM fuel pump screws threaded right in and it mounted up easily. The surface is clean, smooth and free of dings, dents or rough scrapes. I did have to cut and reshape the backbone mount to fit my Softail but that was expected. Can't wait to get it painted. If this is the size and style you are looking for, buy it!

Received this tank as a Christmas gift from my wife. Arrived bare metal, so first I kreemed it and then painted it. Replaced my 2.2 original forty-eight tank. Installation was easy.
