Ceado E5SD Single Dose Coffee Grinder

High quality grinder

I came from a 10+ year Baratza Presio grinder (essentially the Encore) and the E5SD is definitely a few steps up. It's built like a tank and it's so much quieter than the Presio. When my wife was sleeping I used to bring the Presio into another room and close the door so I didn't wake her up. I don't worry about that with the E5SD. I've had it for about a month now and can't really ding it for anything. The bellows works well to clear any residual coffee out and it grinds pretty fast. I was a bit worried about its heft and moving it back and forth on the countertop from under the upper cabinets, but thankfully I found a spot where that wasn't necessary. I use it with an Aeropress and I'm still experimenting with the grind size for the perfect cup.

Delightful grinder

Great machine. Just really nice to only grind what you want. I'd give it 5 stars but the adjustment to change grind size is particularly difficult to move. The vernier indication for espresso grind seems to go between 0. 3 and 0. 5 but the whole ring is 0 to 8. It is a large heavy ring that is marginally hard to span to get a grip. I like the results. Tidy. Repeatable. Precise. I'm female with medium size hands. Maybe large men would find it easier.

Single 0. dose

This is a straight forward flat burr single dosing machine. This unit is a top performer for your home setup. Clean basic aesthetics pair with many machines. If you enjoy single dose grinders this should make the list
