ReCharge S Insulated Sleeping Pad
Andrew · April 20, 2026
A great night's sleep
I've been planning an upgrade in my sleep system and the Paria Recharge S fit the bill! I'm a side sleeper so I draw my knees up... there were zero hot-spots on my hips or shoulders. I pair it with a closed cell pad and that boosts the R value up over 6. I see winter camping in my future. The pad weighing only 13 ounces is an added bonus!

Finally—a Sleeping Pad Designed for Petite Backpackers!
As a 5’0”, 110–115 lb backpacker, I’ve spent years struggling to find ultralight gear that actually works for petite women. While thru-hiking the PCT and trekking through the Sierra, I’ve seen so many other petite hikers wrestling with the same problem: most “ultralight” pads are far too long (why are they all 72”??) and unnecessarily heavy for smaller frames. I’ve tried several short mummy-shaped pads from other brands, but as a side sleeper, I’d always end up rolling off and waking up on the ground. I even attempted cutting and fusing pads to make something that worked—no luck. Then I came across a YouTube video (I wish I remembered who it was!) that featured the ReCharge S Insulated Sleeping Pad, and I ordered it immediately. It’s perfect. The size and weight are spot-on for petite hikers, and I finally sleep comfortably without sliding off. Honestly, I’d even go shorter if it saved a few more grams! I’m now sewing a custom ultralight Zen Bivy-style pad cover with a pillow pocket, made specifically to pair with my quilt and this pad. That’s how much I love it. To the company: THANK YOU. I’ve been searching for years, and you nailed it. Please update your website with better keywords so others can find this pad more easily—petite hikers need to know this exists!
