Beacon™ Dog Safety Light Review
I purchased two of these for walking with my dogs. They work fine, with continuous and strobe modes and three colors: blue, red, and green. However, at this price point, I expected a bit more. A white light with a flashlight mode would have been ideal for extra versatility.
The light levels are good—not too bright to hurt your eyes but still visible at a distance. Battery life holds up well, even after a two-hour walk. I charge every second day, and they maintain brightness throughout.
On the downside, the 8" charging cord is a bit too short for convenience, though it’s not a dealbreaker. The LEDs are directional and reflect straight up when attached to my dog’s back, which means the light doesn’t provide visibility at right angles. It seems to be designed mainly for hanging off a collar. The USB-C plug is flimsy; after just two uses, the part that keeps it attached broke, and now I can’t protect the port from water.
For $25, I expected a more durable and versatile product. Based on cost and value, I’d rate it a 2 out of 5.
