Growing in zone 5b, I started these seeds indoors and planted out around April. I topped the plants to encourage more branching. At first I thought the seedlings wouldn't survive, but after the initial shock, the plants really took off! I had sweet pea blossoms up until July. The colors are soft and beautiful, and the scent was wonderful.

I had a hectic spring so actually skipped growing a garden this year, but I did plant these sweet peas. And they were lovely. A few are still blooming even though it's August and we've had more than a few weeks of 90 degree days. And I'm honestly not that worried about planting the seeds I got this year next year. When I'm planted the remaining seeds in a packet, I've always been impressed by high the germination rate is in BI seeds.
