Great quality, definitely needs Breaking in
As someone with toes that are longer than my big toe, and who prioritizes buying one shoe of great quality that will last for over a decade, I did a lot of research before buying Rothy’s. I like that they are sustainable, and I like that the shoe is meant to last for years. I also love that the maintenance is very doable. I don’t like adding to waste and I don’t like shoes that will wear down in a year to three. I am somebody who also rough uses shoes. I believe something like shoes, Especially every day shoes, should be first and foremost about its utility and their-in lies the quality. For me durability and comforted come before anything when it comes to daily wear shoes. I have only had my Rothy's for a few months now so how many years it will last is yet to be seen. Although I feel like it will last for many years. I love the look of the pointed detail that frames your foot on the inner lining. It looks very nice. For the most important part of this review, it definitely needs a break-in period. The claim of “no break-in needed“ is in my opinion false. Because the shoe is made up of plastic bottle material, it is a rough sort of fabric. There is also no lining on the inside of the shoe. And for these reasons, I blistered on top of my toes and on my heel. so I don’t understand how a shoe can be “comfortable” if it’s going to give you blisters. The sole is nice, however. I like that it is removable, and my feet are generally hurting less than they would at the end of the day with regular cheaper flats. I feel that if the sole was a little bit thicker and more cushioned with even a little bit if arch support, and if there was some sort of softer or slippery lining on the inside, preventing blisters, this would be a practically perfect flat. That being said, I still think it’s a great shoe and I do not regret purchasing it. They definitely feel much better after they have been broken in and my blisters have healed. I wear an 8.5. Sometimes I have shoes that are eight or 8.5. I think Rothy’s are fairly accurate in terms of sizing.
Black flat
Beautiful . I love these shoes. Sooooo comfy. I have small feet so it’s nice when they work with you , getting the right size. I wear a 5,but Rothy’s I order a 1/2 size up.
I ordered my usual size.
I ordered my usual size. The flats are cute, comfortable and don’t gap when I walk; a solid choice. One caveat is to allow enough time for shipping. The website isn’t clear on that. These arrived two weeks (14 days) after I placed my order; the problem was FedX.
