I treated myself to a six pint package of Jeni’s for my birthday. This gave me a chance to try some new flavors, and one of those was Bay Leaf Cheesecake. I hadn’t anticipated finding a new favorite! The smooth cheesecake ice cream has an earthy hint similar to nutmeg, and was absolutely delicious! The graham swirl was thick and rich, and did not disappoint. This will definitely be ordered again…and again, and again!

The Leaf That Finally Got Top Billing

Jeni’s Bay Leaf Cheesecake has absolutely no business being this good. Bay leaf is the ingredient whose entire career consists of being politely removed from soup, yet here it is, headlining an ice cream. The cheesecake is rich, tangy, and decadent, while the bay leaf strolls in wearing a tiny beret, whispering, “I’m complex. ” Against all logic, the two become the dessert equivalent of an unlikely buddy comedy. I came for cheesecake and left questioning why I’ve underestimated a leaf for my entire life.
