Nice release from Shutter about
Nice release from Shutter about the history of found footage. Troll Hunter, The McPherson Tape, Cannibal Holocaust, Blair Witch Project and many more are are covered in this doc and it makes you wanna watch those films again. Love the insights from the great Ruggero Deodato whose interview must have been one of his last ones.
A really fun Shudder produced
A really fun Shudder produced doc on found footage films. I’m a sucker for these type of docs, and I love coming out with a big list of films I need to check out, and this one was no different. It of course also covers the classics, but it’s the discoveries that I one learning about. I have to admit, I don’t love the artwork on this one, although I could see others liking its simplicity. As far as extras, it’s not as stacked as others, but you do get lots of extended interviews which is always fun.
Found Footage Doc
I’m a huge fan of the found footage genre, so when I saw that Shudder partner label was putting out this release that wasn’t afraid to dive headfirst into this documentary-style film about the genre, I had to pick it up. Happy to have it in the collection!
