A Dream Come True

Jeremy Saulnier only has a few films, but they are all excellent (Blue Ruin, Green Room, and Rebel Ridge). I return to this brutal horror comedy every Halloween without fail, so seeing this get the release it deserves makes me very happy.

Gory fun

Jeremy Saulnier's debut horror comedy is a fun Halloween party movie - it's also about a Halloween party! - and shows his talent early on. It's scrappy, lean and the blend of comedy and horror works extremely well. Bursts of gore, making a lot of fun of the 'art scene', a wholesome geeky vibe and just a really well made calling card.

Unseen fun movie

I am sooooo happy to finally have this on Blu Ray. . from the director of Green Room and many other great movies. I saw this on DVD on a whim years back when it was released. While the acting is not the greatest the main character is really likeable and easy to root for as he is trying to escape the cast if movie villains. It is a lot of fun and you never look at the clock to see how much time is left. There is a lot of great extras too. Highly Recommend.
