Mind Benders
I thought this film would ha e been so much better but just fell flat. I was hoping that something more would happen but never did. A midnight, up all night movie that was so forgettable. I was hoping for a sci-fi thriller and got a dumb high school wannabe comedy. I would not recommend this title to anyone ever

Mind Bendingly Meh
This one was a weirdie, but aside from the low budget 80s atmosphere, it wasn't a good weird. It's tough to classify what went wrong here, but suffice to say it was a literal chore to get through. Admittedly it was a blind impulse buy tacked onto the last sale, and I regret making the purchase. That said, the quality of the edition, including its special features, and transfer can't be denied. For a fan who enjoys this title, it receives very decent treatment- just not my bag, (and I'm a mega fan of John Stamos/ Gene Simmons vehicle Never Too Young To Die!)

A not so mind bending bit of comedy
As an obscure release that I vaguely remember hearing about growing up, Mind Benders certainly shows it potential at times. With a promise of being a high school comedy with sci-fi and horror leanings I was definitely stoked. Sadly, with a bit of a messy script and some bad acting I can see why it's not talked about more fondly. The biggest issue here is that instead of giving the viewers the sci-fi or horror bits we were promised, we're giving a very basic high school comedy film where the misfits try to stop a mind control plot that really doesn't live up to it's potential. Yes, there are some crazy moments but at the same time there's just no momentum as the film goes on. The bits and pieces of sci-fi we do get are kinda slapdash and honestly drag the film down. I can't say that any of the cast really catch my attention and outside of the food fight and final showdown, this is quite forgettable.
