Quality Hong Kong Action

Surprisingly great Hong Kong Action with a healthy dose of melodrama. There is a particularly great action scene in the film that really stood out for me. Highly recommended for fans of Hong Kong cinema, crime films, and melodrama.

An Eye For An Eye is only the 2nd VSA I’ve managed to snag (after Black Cat 1 & 2). Definitely more of a drama than I was expecting but still plenty of bloody action. The three main characters are very likable and relatable. I really enjoyed this one! The final act of revenge was a bit underwhelming for my taste, however.

Must buy not just for HK movie lovers

For me personally, the movie was a great addition to my HK collection! It has a great story and the action sequences are on a similar level like the John-Woo-classics. So, it is with every dollar. And as always with VS and as no surprise, the transfer and the picture/sound quality are outstanding.
