The Gift

I haven't actually watched this movie as it was a gift, but the looks are amazing as per usual with VSA titles. Lovely slipcover that's sturdy and protective. A hallmark of all their releases. The artwork is fantastic and has this 1960s movie poster vibe that I love. The orange hues and the superimposed image of Jet Li's Face as a sort of Mount Rushmore image shadowing the other supporting characters is amazing. I love that the text is bold and HERO is red in all caps and the Chinese text is below the English title in a lovely blue. The scenes I've scene are from the trailer and they showcase some excellent examples of martial arts from both Jet Li and the actor playing his son in the movie. The work is reminiscent of Jackie Chan's work in Police Story and Armour of God II: Operation Condor. Good stuff.

The definitive version of one of Jet Li's best!

I was excited when this was announced and Vinegar Syndrome did not disappoint! My Father is a Hero is from my favorite era of Hong Kong cinema and is loaded with hard hitting fight scenes. I'll say that this is my favorite VSA to date!

Jet Li is a Hero

Jet Li and Corey Yuen take a standard Hong Kong undercover cop tale and super charge it with big elaborate fights. If you like Jet Li this is an excellent addition to your collection.
